AMD A9-9410, E2-9010, A6-9210 specs: APUs AMD E2, A6 and A9 (code-named Stoney Ridge) are part of the generation of AMD APU week launched at Computex 2016, and are dedicated to chip value notebook (medium-low).As we have already mentioned, the AMD A-Series APU seventh generation are divided into two families: AMD A10, A12 and FX for more powerful laptops (think mainstream and gaming notebook) and AMD E2, A6 and A9 intended for so-called notebook “fair” (medium-low) cheaper but also less efficient. Although the company of Sunnyvale has repeatedly stated in the press conference at Computex 2016 (by the way you can see it in full below!) That both the APU series offer big improvements in performance over previous generations, major differences will be seen mainly in APU “Stoney Ridge”, precisely because they use the same core AMD “Excavator” APU “Bristol Ridge” more powerful. So, while the latter are based on the same AMD APU architecture of Carrizo sixth generation, the new “Stoney Ridge” make a breakthrough by abandoning the old architecture “Jaguar”.
AMD was an obvious choice for a few years, the market for low-end notebook is stagnant especially with regard to chip performance and – not surprisingly – Intel has decided to cancel the next generation of Atom processors. AMD is a unique opportunity, because it would be the only company in the low-end market to offer low-cost chip and with better performance, at least until Intel will not launch the Apollo Lake notebook and hybrid 2-in-1.
APUs AMD E2, A6 and A9 are all dual-core and quad-core graphics and have less powerful. Support memory DDR4 with maximum frequency of 2133 MHz, HDMI 2.0 , PCIe Gen 3.0, H.265 / HEVC VP9 and video decoding, as well as operating speeds much higher than the chip “value” earlier. On the other hand, with a 15W TDP, the new chips require more energy than many other entry-level AMD APU.
The AMD A9 processor, for example, offers 50% more performance than an AMD A8 (Carrizo) and 36% in graphics performance. Essentially able to stand up to an Intel Core i3 chip (Skylake-U) but it will be sold at a more competitive price. AMD A9-9410 has a frequency of 2.9 GHz (3.5 GHz maximum) and R5 Radeon graphics, AMD E2-9010 It has a base clock rate of 2.0 GHz (2.8 GHz maximum) and Radeon R4, while AMD A6-9210 and Radeon R4 has a 2.9GHz frequency and up to 3.5GHz.
