Asus TP201 vs TP200: what has changed
Asus has launched a refreshed version of the TP200 and is calling it the TP201. So what has changed? Asus TP201 vs TP200. Well two things have changed – processor and its battery capacity. The battery has been bumped from 37Wh to 48Wh so expect a nice increase in battery life runtimes. Second thing that has changed is its processor which is now Intel Pentium N3710. The Asus TP200 transformer flip came with two processor options, Intel Celeron N3050 and N3700. That said, both old and new processors are still based on Braswell architecture.
The Transformer Book Flip TP201 will still be equipped with a IPS 11.6-inch HD (1366 x 768 pixels) display tilting up to 360 degrees, thanks to a hinge that allows you to turn your notebook into tablet (and vice versa) with intermediate mode (tent and stand). It has 4GB of RAM , a Type-C USB port, one USB 3.0 and one USB 2.0, an HDMI port, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0, and – if the product sheets do not lie – some differences in the hardware platform.
The new ASUS TP201, in fact, can be equipped with a Pentium N3710, still Braswell chips but more powerful than the Celeron and Pentium N3050 N3700 chosen for the older generation. The battery also improved from 38Wh to 48 Wh . Dimensions and weight remain the same: 297 x 201.3 x 18.45 mm to 1.2 Kg.
