Belkin introduces wireless charging products for modern smartphones

Belkin unveiled future of wireless charging at an event in New Delhi. The company showcased Boost Up wireless charging pad for Qi-enabled smartphones that includes the new iPhone 8, iPhone X and Samsung Galaxy S8/S9. Also launched at the event was the Boost Up Qi wireless charging pad, which is an entry level wireless charging pad for android phones that charges at 5W.

Both of these wireless charging pads by Belkin feature safety feature that stop charging phones in case it detects foreign objects to ensure unnecessary accidents do not happen. It also stops charging in case it detects overheating of the smartphone which can otherwise significantly reduce life of the hardware.

Both Boost Up wireless charging pads come with 2+1 year connected equipment warranty which shows the immense confidence Belkin has in its products.

At the event, Belkin showed off other mobile power products for the iPhone including the 3.5 mm Audio + Charge Rockstar adapter that plugs in to lightning port to let user charge the phone and at the same time, let user listen the music. It will be available for INR 5000.

There are two versions of it – one has lightning port + 3.5mm headphone jack while other has two lightning ports.

Also launched at the event are Belkin power banks with 5000 and 10000 mAh capacities, which will retail at INR 2500 and 4000 respectively. A power bank with 15000mAh is also in the works.
