Consumers are faced with a ton of netbooks currently available and so we have come up with this comparison of two models that we think are frequently compared – the ASUS EEE PC 1000HE and the HP 2133 Mini-Note. In making a decision, the key really is to base it on the user's particular needs.
HP 2133 Mini-Note:

Asus has begun the influx of mini-netbooks, and the 1000HE is just one of the many new models. It features a better chiclet keyboard, which always impresses us due to its sleek appearance.
The display for the Asus EEE PC 1000HE is a 10-inch LCD that has rated higher compared to prior models. It has a resolution of 1024×78 and is equipped with an Intel Atom N280 processor that runs at a speed of 1.66 gigahertz. The Asus EEE PC 1000HE has a 160-gigabyte hard drive mated to a 1-Gigabyte DDR2 memory that is certainly an improvement over the previous offerings.
Judging by these numbers alone, you would realize how far ahead this model is. Take for instance, the Asus 900 that has a 20-gigabyte sold state hard drive, 900 MHz Intel Mobile processor and an 8.9-inch LCD. What the 900 model has in common with the 1000HE is its memory.
Pros and Cons
HP MINI 2133:
What strikes the potential buyer about the HP Mini 2133 aside from its size is its price. Most HP models cost considerably more. The Mini 2133 has an appearance that doesn't give away the fact that it is priced affordably. Its nearly full-sized keyboard is a plus. The display screen provides a contract and a degree of backlighting that is soothing to the eyes.
The HP Mini 2133 is powered by a Via chipset and so-so graphics card. Despite having a terrific display resolution, it can't make up for this disadvantage. On the other hand, the Asus EEE PC 1000HE may have a lower resolution but it gives a better performance due to its Intel Atom chipset. When it comes to battery life, the HP Mini 2133 is a disappointment.
ASUS EEE PC 1000HE:
The display screen of this netbook is one of its best features. There are no distortions when viewed at the side. When it comes to vertical angles, colors are not as inverted as much as other notebooks. Also, users will be able to view the display for longer periods and not get eyestrain.
The 1000HE has a keyboard that's responsive and is spaced in a way that makes it comfortable to use. It also has a new keyboard layout that makes one-handed scrolling a possibility. A mouse or a touchpad isn't even necessary.
Its touchpad is one of its shortcomings. Dual finger control can be done but we discovered that the touchpad isn't sensitive enough.
It also has a 1024×768 resolution that is very limited. The problems on the display show up in the use of certain applications

When the features of these two netbooks are laid out like that, it becomes obvious that the Asus EEE PC 1000HE is better. It has a longer battery life, a significantly more powerful processor and an overall better performance. It has a limited resolution but we think that this is a minor issue that could be disregarded due to its other practical features
