iBall Slide PenBook Windows 2-in-1 laptop launched in India

iBall has churned iBall Slide PenBook in India. This is a 2 in 1 laptop that makes use of Windows 10’s special features like Windows Ink, Hello and Cortana. Boasting a sophisticated design, you can detach the screen and use it as standalone tablet. The entire chassis of iBall Slide PenBook is made of light aluminum alloy design that is backed by large 6000mAh battery making it ideal for productivity and entertainment on the move.

However, unlike high end 2 in 1 detachable laptops like Microsoft Surface, the screen packs meager HD resolution but then the iBall Slide PenBook is a budget laptop. We are also pretty surprised to see iBall still using yesteryear’s Atom processor instead of newer Intel Celeron N3060/N3050 that are being used in most of the new detachable laptops and netbooks. That being said, the Atom processor is adequate for daily computing tasks like web browsing and office work.

iBall has included some business centric features like fingerprint scanner and Windows Ink support that will make it attractive to business houses but its small 32GB eMMC storage and 2GB RAM could turn them off.

The price is 24,999 rupees which is a bit on high side. There are much better options at this range. For instance, the Acer Switch 10E, a detachable laptop, can be bought for nearly half of PenBook’s price.

Mr. Sandeep Parasrampuria, who is CEO and Director of iBall said,

Our latest 2-in-1 iBall Slide PenBook, is a world class offering with latest technology wonders of  Windows inking, Hello and Cortana. It’s the next level device for those who embrace digital innovations and look for the best in technology.
