Banana Pi M64 Specs Overview
If you’ve read the deepening on the single board Banana Pi , you may have noticed that none of the versions available on the market today are equipped with a 64-bit SoC, a lack that could cost the company millions in sales because other competitors (among best known) have already gone to much higher performance processors. But we think SinoVoip , announcing a new development board Banana Pi BPI-M64 (or simply Banana Pi M64 ) with a 64-bit ARM-based processor.
The chip used is an Allwinner A64 quad-core (Cortex-A53) 1.2GHz, supported by Mali-400 MP2 graphics at 500MHz, 2GB of DDR3 RAM and 8GB of eMMC memory expandable with a slot for microSD cards up to 256GB, but should also be versions with 16GB, 32GB and 64GB of storage. For groped to compete with Raspberry Pi 3, the company has focused on connectivity, two USB 2.0 ports, a micro USB 2.0, one HDMI 1.4 to handle resolutions up to 4K @ 30 Hz, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and Gigabit Ethernet. And even a microphone, 3.5 mm audio jack for headphones, MIPI CSI interface to support webcam and an IR receiver.
Banana Pi M64 will be compatible with Android 5.1 and Android 6.0 Lollipop Marshmallow, Debian Linux, Ubuntu Linux, Raspbian and other operating systems. We do not exclude that it can also circled Remix OS , an Android-based release and already installed on Remix Mini which has the same processor board.
