Corsair Obsidian 1000D specs price: largest tower with tempered glass and space for 2 full PCs
Corsair today announced the launch of its largest computer tower to date, the Corsair Obsidian 1000D. We learned that the company was working on this large format tower a couple of months ago thanks to a filtration, today is the day chosen by Corsair to launch it to the market together with a minimalist design, tempered glass and a high quality construction.
In this new tower can be installed two complete systems E-ATX and mini-ITX. Refrigerated by 18 fans of 120 mm or four radiators of 480 mm, with power from an ATX source and another SFX and the possibility of equipping 11 storage units; it allows us to host unbeatable PC configurations. With a large size, the cooling options are multiplied: we have eight 120 mm fan supports in the front, three 140 mm in the upper and two 120/140 mm fans in the rear; without forgetting the liquid cooling devices and their radiators, supporting even the thickest.
The E-ATX system is mounted on an elevated island for the base plate, with holes that allow the organization of the cables and with a rear compartment that allows easy hiding of the SSD, wiring and accessories. The mini-ITX system rests on the support of the ATX power supply, giving the option of having a secondary system that functions as a server, streaming or second PC of games. In this large tower, Corsair includes a fan speed controller and RGB digital lighting Corsair Comander PRO, which gives users precise control of the speed and lighting of up to six PWM fans. In the chassis we find RGB LED lighting integrated in the front panel, to effectively set our set up.
To control all aspects of our new Corsair tower, we have the possibility to use Corsair iCUE software that gives us a very complete control panel to be aware of everything that happens inside the chassis. The front panel of the Corsair Obsidian 1000D has two USB 3.1 type C ports and four ports 3.0 with its own lighting, so we can use them in low light situations. In its exterior design we find three panels of tempered smoked glass that let us see the interior of our equipment and give quite striking effect. This model is now available for purchase in the main online platforms and physical stores.
