Intel Core i7 7740K and Core i5 7640K release date revealed
That something is the new Core i7 7740K, which is nothing other than a Core i7 7700K overclocked processor. The problem is that AMD also tried that route with its 9000 series FX processors. And we all know that adventure ended up as the aurora rosary, although it is also true that the Core i7 usually have better room to maneuver by having a TDP less.
But it is also true that the TIM that they use in their processors is quite bad and they have too much tendency to overheat when used.
Not only will the above mentioned processor be launched during the E3 event, but also a new Core i5 7640K, which is the current 7600 as the 740K to 7700K: an overclocked version.
But, to achieve the extra speed Intel has disabled the graphics card integrated inside the processor , so for its use will be essential to have a dedicated graphics on our computer. Something similar to what it did years ago with the 2000 series and the “P” processors.
With the arrival of Ryzen to the market, Intel for the first time in years has realized that it has nothing that can be opposed on ALL fronts, and that its famous HEDT range is no longer as High End as they wanted to make believe. I
