    In India, the science stream is highly valued in terms of status in society. Also it is like "you are good in studies so you need to go into science" when it comes to choosing stream over "you have an interest in science so you should go into it".
    The 90% is like very very true coz the competition is really really high. Every year some 1.2 million students give the entrance exam to engineering institutes. However the reputed IIT's have some 10k seats in all so it is like <1% students getting into them.
    Just to mention IITs are not the end of the world and there are other state level institutes and private institutes, however as we go to lower level institutes the problem is that the placements are very less. A majority of engineers in the country are unemployed which is due to skewed demand vs supply…

    My group of 6 backbenchers who were popular that for any nuisance created is credited to us automatically broke when we had to choose stream I went for science and rest went for commerce 😭😭😭

    Dude I was sitting in the library I need to control my laugh till my stomach hurts🀣(I was studying organic chemistry and then started watching YouTube lol and I have my exams in few weeks)

    9:23 people choose science because with commerce u cant do much, i.e u can only be become a businessman or something else like that. But with science, u can get many other jobs like doctor, lawyer, engineer, and many many many other stuff. btw, I'm just 13 lol

    Let me tell you one thing, both streams have good opportunities and both are needed in our society, businesses and economical growth are based on commerce students and technological and scientific growth is based on science students, even arts is also a needed things.
