The original iPhone released in 2007 was hailed as revolutionary in a world where BlackBerry, Palm, and Microsoft Windows Phone reigned king. Google was working on a competitor to these platforms with the Android team they purchased in 2005. After the iPhone unveiling, Google changed course and the T-Mobile HTC Dream was launched in 2008. How did the two compare and which one was better? iPhone vs Android.

  1. My first smartphone was an iPhone 3GS. It was my dad’s phone but he upgraded to a 4S. The first smartphone I ever used was a touchscreen Nokia

  2. Man, it’s crazy to think that I was alive when the iPhone was released and how much of a big deal it was when it came out. How far we’ve come in such a relatively short time.

  3. Windows mobile very underrated at the time. I used it on 2 smartphones. Windows 5 on the O2 XDA 2s in the early 00s and then the palm treo 750 around 2007 which i eventually upgraded to windows 6. The default apps were a bit trash but there was quite a lot of 3rd party software available including GPS dongles and navigation apps.

  4. I still remember when my dad had the first iPhone. I don’t think they had flashlights. So whenever a power outage happened, he’d turn his iPhone over and use the SCREEN as a flashlight 😭😭😭

Idk how he’s able to switch from iOS to Android back to iOSand as of now he got his Samsung in 2020 and might as well switch back. Meanwhile my brain is only wired on Apple and hates Android for whatever unknown reason 😐

  5. I had a HTC desire summer 2009 that was way better than any iphone at the same time. every phone shop i went into just to ask which was the best and the same answer every time was the HTC desire………….i actually still have it to this day, even after my son knocked it out of my hand and straight into a river. thankfully i was able to get it out of the water and into a bowl of rice where it stayed for about a whole week! it dried and worked just fine by the way

  6. I remember iPhone 1 being launched and refusing to buy one because it was so ridiculous there was no copy and paste so I stuck with my HTC till. IPhone 3.

  7. Everyone knows that iPhone is light years behind Samsung phones, I was forced to use iPhone for a short period of time, and have to tell that was the worse experience in my life, since that I always use Samsung Galaxy starting from S4 now I'm using S21 Ultra while my girlfriend own iPhone 13 pro max so I have perfect comparison and still iPhone is way behind Samsung and android 🙂 camera quality iPhone 12Mp 4K Samsung 108 Mp 8K, ram iPhone 6GB Samsung 16 GB, sound iPhone standard stereo speakers vs Samsung 32 bit speakers tuned by AKG, multitasking iPhone NON-samsung perfectly works with 2 apps on the screen at the same time. And many many more. Samsung now is top of the range where the iPhone won't be for a long time.

  8. I remember on the original iPhone and 3G(up until MMS was launched) that if you received a picture, it took you to a link to view it.

  9. Funny how 14 years later customisation is still the winning feature for me, I wouldn't want to ever get an IPhone, Samsung for me All Day! Although I would love the ability to scan objects, that's just class!!

  10. My first smartphone was the iPhone. It was much better than Android because I mean honestly if the device isn’t stable then what’s the point? When AT&T switched to a new customer care system in 08 a software glitch dropped a whole year of billing so they started treating like some kind of criminal hacker that stole a year of service so I turned off the phone and switched to Android on T-MOBILE. Now I’m finally back on iPhone but I will NEVER fuck with AT&T EVER AGAIN IN LIFE.

  11. On my note 9, copying and pasting images wasn't hugely supported across apps. On my iOS, it actually supported it copy/paste images AND GIF's. I have love for both platforms…

  12. i love iPhone anadroid my first apple device a iPod touch 4G than i got a LG Optimus S hand me down phone which i just used for music lol way back in like 2012 lol

  13. I’m a die hard apple fan. Even when I couldn’t afford apple. And only ever used android I still preferred apple. Now everything I own is apple!

  14. I had a blackberry curve and was desperately wanting the Samsung Galaxy S2. I ended up getting the Galaxy S3 instead as my first smartphone
