MSI OPTIX AG32CQ: curved gaming monitor with VA panel, 144 Hz and FreeSync

MSI continues to expand its line of OPTIX monitors with the addition of its new model MSI OPTIX AG32CQ. This new curved gaming monitor has, inside with a VA panel, 1 ms of response time and WQHD resolution, ready to make the competition to all monitors with TN panels, which used to be the fastest. Until now, when a user wanted to buy a monitor, he had to choose between the image quality and the speed in the response time of the matrix they equipped. So far, the monitors that equipped the fastest matrices were those that mounted those of the TN model. In fact, this matrix model is the most used for the most hardcore gaming monitors. However, the main problem presented by this type of monitor is that the image quality it is capable of representing is far below that which can be achieved with monitors with a VA or IPS matrix, especially in terms of the representation of the colors of the images.

However, relatively recently (a year and a half ago), Samsung released its MPRT (Moving Picture Response Time) technology, which reduces the response time of pixels even more. And it is thanks to her that the curved gaming monitor MSI OPTIX AG32CQ is able to achieve a response time in its pixels of only 1 ms. The new MSI model is equipped with a VA panel, which is a very good option for those who love the image quality on the screen.

Apart from having a low response time in its pixels, it has a vertical refresh rate of 144 Hz (if somewhere you see that it is 165 Hz, that data is not correct) which, added to its compatibility with the standard AMD FreeSync, will get smooth images without borders with tearing. It also covers the spectrum of colors very well, ensuring 110% of the sRGB spectrum and 85% of the NTSC color spectrum. The new MSI curved gaming monitor has a static contrast ratio of 3000: 1 and a brightness of 250 cd / m2, which is a fairly reasonable brightness for a monitor other than HDR, which is the other trend that there is right now on computer monitors.

Regarding the video inputs, the MSI OPTIX AG32CQ has an HDMI 2.0, a DisplayPort 1.2 and a DVI, although the manufacturer does not specify if this is DVI-I or DVI-D.

The new curved gaming monitor MSI OPTIX AG32CQ can now be found in stores at a price of 499 euros.
