Razer Core compatibility and price

Razer has finally announced the price , the availability and compatibility of Best of CES 2016 product, the Razer Core. The company has also put the Razer Core available for booking through their website, so if you are interested in it, you can secure one online.

Let’s start with the basics: the final characteristics of the device. The Razer Core supports installation inside a single graphics card double width (ie, normal) with PCI-Express interface and with a maximum length of 31 centimeters (the maximum dimensions of the graph are 310 x 152 x 44 mm), with a maximum consumption of 375 watts. The Razer Core includes a power supply still undisclosed 500W with two PCI-Express connectors 6 + 2 pins. The installation of the graphics card in the Razer Core is done without tools.

At the moment only a small list of graphics cards compatible with the Razer Core (Note: do not say but clearly will support custom models assemblers and not only with reference graphic):

1. AMD : Radeon R9 Fury, Nano, 300 Series, R9 290x, 290 and 280.
2. NVIDIA : GeForce GTX Titan X, Ti 980, 980, 970, 960, 950, 750 and 750 Ti.

The Razer Core has dimensions of 104.9 x 339.9 x 218.4 mm and weighs 4.94 kg without the weight of the graph we install. 3 incorporates Thunderbolt connection as we explained while four USB 3.0 ports and an RJ-45 Gigabit (10/100/1000) connector normally be used as an extension of the PC or laptop to us to connect the device. It will have lighting Chroma two areas that will be configurable from Razer Synapse.

Now the bad news, as it always has to do with the price. We said at the beginning that Razer has already put the Core presale on their website , priced at $ 499 if you buy loose unit and $ 399 if we do it together with a portable Blade. Not to mention clear with the graphics card you want to install, which cost us about the same as the Razer Core itself.
