Why is electronics so rare as a hobby today?

In my observation, electronics as a hobby has become quite rare today due to several factors. Firstly, it seems that the increasing complexity of technology can be intimidating and discouraging for beginners. Secondly, the cost associated with buying components and equipment could also be a barrier. Also, the rise of digital-based hobbies such as gaming, social media, and online content creation have overshadowed traditional hobbies like electronics. Lastly, there's a general lack of awareness and guidance on how to get started with electronics as a hobby.
