Teclast X98 Plus II Review
Teclast X98 Plus II is the successor of the Teclast X98 Plus , a tablet of which we have often spoken in Italy Notebook pages for its excellent quality / price ratio. In fact, despite what the name might suggest, Teclast X98 Plus II maintains the same technical details of the first-generation model, but with a slightly revised design and retouched in some details to improve the use, at an even lower cost.
Just like the model presented in February, in fact, Teclast X98 Plus II is equipped with a screen 9.7 inches with a resolution QXGA (2048 x 1536 pixels), quad-core Intel Atom Z8300-x5 from 1.44GHz up to 1.84GHz and in Turbo Boost mode with Intel HD GPU Gen8, 4GB of RAM LPDDR3 and 64GB of eMMC memory expandable with a TF card slot up to 128GB.
On board there are also two cameras (front and rear) 2 megapixels, a micro HDMI, micro USB for charging, WiFi 802.11n and Bluetooth 4.0 , as well as the usual 3.5 mm audio jack for headphones. Under the hood is also a big 8000 mAh battery , two stereo speakers for a complete multimedia experience, as well as the two operating systems in a dual-boot Android 5.1 Lollipop and Windows 10 Home.
What changes then? The new Teclast X98 Plus II is aesthetically different from Teclast X98 Plus, more comfortable and ergonomic in the socket, thanks to a frame with edges and rounded corners (the previous plates had edges). On the back, the camera has been moved to the right and is less noticeable on the plastic band (the silver ring is now white), you need not to shield the antennas. Beside all interfaces, nominated by their names, and on the bottom grill of the speakers that seem to indicate better audio quality. The size will still, however, almost unchanged: 239 x 176 x 8 mm for 568 grams.
