Toughpower iRGB PLUS 1250W launched for crypto miners and power users
Thermaltake has just introduced its new Toughpower iRGB PLUS 1250W power supply that is meant for power users and crypto miners that require powerful PSU to power a number of graphics cards. A PSU destined to feed the most powerful equipment of the market. And of course, you will not see mid-range or low-end configurations. In addition, this source will have a fan that will incorporate RGB LED lighting. That will give it a special character when it works. With high quality components, this fully modular source is equipped with the Ring 14 RGB fan. Ultra quiet and patented to display up to 16.8 million colors and 12 controllable individual LEDs. With seven lighting modes Full Illumination, Flow, RGB Spectrum, Ripple, Pulse and Wave. Each lighting mode has three color modes RGB, single mode and off and four light speed options – slow, normal, fast and so fast.
The power supply is 80 PLUS Titanium certified. It also supports three of Thermaltake’s intelligent platforms: DPS G PC APP 2.0, DPS G Smart Power Management SPM Cloud 1.0 and DPS G Mobile APP 1.0. To help users monitor intelligent power supply units and save energy. It also supports the DPS G Riing RGB Mobile application, which allows users to customize RGB lighting for their power supply fan. And even allows the LED illumination to change in sync with the rhythm.
Do we need so much power? The Toughpower iRGB PLUS 1250W – TT Premium Edition power supply uses high amperage on a single channel + 12Vs. Adopts Smart Zero Fan to optimize thermal performance and minimize audible noise. Using high-quality Japanese brand capacitors to provide excellent reliability and stability. With a 10-year warranty coverage, the source allows a captivating way of making users’ systems match their color scheme and offers the best silent operation for all types of chassis.
The question that I pose is: Does a user really need such power? Let’s face it: the components today no longer consume as much as they used to. And if you could not imagine a multi GPU configuration without a 750 W power supply, today it is more normal to see these configurations with 600 W power supplies. However, crypto miners and power user make use of multiGPU configuration and need such power to power graphics cards like Asus Mining-P106-6G. Or make overclocks a bit extreme to need a source like this. The manufacturer has not wanted to disclose the price of the source or when it will begin its distribution.
