Vivo V7+ and 24MP Front Camera Fiasco
Vivo V7+ was recently launched in India with great pomp and show but recently got into a lot of controversy about its 24 mega pixel camera. The V7+ being a mid-range phone, comes with Snapdragon 450 processor which was being ridiculed for not having enough horsepower to capture a 24MP picture. A lot of bloggers were posting about Snapdragon 450 being too weak and Vivo resorting to interpolation to make the smaller picture big.
Today, the Vivo has come up with a statement that Vivo V7+ front camera sensor is indeed capable of shooting 24MP photos. The Qualcomm website will be updated shortly to include support of this specification.
Had the Qualcomm website been updated at the time of launch of this phone, the controversy would not have happened. The website still says that the SoC can support only upto 21MP photo.
Vivo V7+ comes with an octa-core Snapdragon 450 processor that is backed by 64GB storage, 4GB RAM, 16GB rear and whopping 24MP front camera. Graphics are handled by Adreno 506 GPU which is fine for playing all modern games available on play store. Powered it is a 3225mAh non-removable battery which should easily last you a day of moderate usage. It is on sale in India for 22,000 rupees and available in gold and matte black colors.
