After an early pandemic shortage computers are shipping again, Canalys reports

Computer producers shipped 79 million private computers within the third quarter of 2020, an uptick of 13 p.c year-over-year with Lenovo main the pack, expertise analyst agency Canalys reported.

Looking at worldwide desktop, laptop computer, and workstation shipments, Canalys discovered Acer shipped 5.6 million items final quarter for a 15 p.c improve from the year-ago quarter. That was the biggest share improve from 2019. But Lenovo shipped essentially the most items within the third quarter, at 19.3 million, an 11 p.c improve from final yr, adopted by HP with 18.6 million, a 12 p.c year-over-year uptick. Spending on IT, together with funding in PCs, will “be a core driver of economic recoveries in the aftermath of the pandemic,” he added.
