  6. Thank you SO MUCH for posting this. I have a really small wrist and don't need a lot of info from the watch during the day, so I'm going to buy the Mi band 2.

  10. Mi Band 2 can show the calories, distance travelled as well.. It's in the settings.

The only real difference besides waterproof (which Mi Band 2 is essentially anyway, if you had done some testing) is the larger touch integrated screen.

  11. As a Mi Band 2 user (i bought it before Mi Band 3 released), i've worn it in water multiple times while swimming, took many showers with it and even went in a really salty swimming pool (in Praid, Romania) and it works perfectly.

  12. Good information. I'm hoping for the 3 for Christmas… but I've never had a tracker… only a heart rate watch with heart monitor chest strap. I'm so looking forward to it.

  15. The only things I care for are daily steps, sleep tracking, and an alarm clock. For running, I use a dedicated sports watch with a built-in GPS, many training options (laps, interval training, …), and a much bigger screen, so that I can easily read it while running. Google Fit is intelligent enough to not double count steps and calories during my runs. So with my minimal requirements for an activity tracker, I am perfectly happy with the Mi Band 2. I looked at the 3, but it is more bulky, and the screen looks more exposed (scratches!). BTW, best upgrade for my Mi Band 2 was a steel bracelet from Mijobs (ridiculously inexpensive from AliExpress). I've tried the Notify & Fit app for a while, but it is way too complicated for what I need. So now I am back with the native app.

Oh, why I only wear that sports watch during my runs? Because I am a watch lover, and I don't want to wear the same watch every day. So that's the Mi Band on one wrist, and my watch on the other (today an Omega Speedmaster Pro).

  18. mi band 2 is not water proof? OK…. I am showering with it if i forget to take off, I was swimming in lake few times this summer (that includes non deep dives) and so on… never have I found anything wrong with my band. heart rate fuctions, screen is good, it's charging properly, battery holds up 2-3weeks and so on…

  19. Although I agree with your points. You made one mistake. In mi band 2 you can enable more information to be shown via the mi fit app. Distance, calories and battery. Other than the addition of the weather and the stopwatch is a good plus cause it's also a watch not just a smartband, and bigger screen is an added bonus considering you can actually read much more content on the mi band 3.
