Belkin awarded sustainability initiative of year by business license group

Belkin is a pretty eco friendly company and they have surpassed worldwide goals for reducing electricity consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. Back in 2009, the company had set a goal to reduce 25% worldwide electricity consumption by 2017 and they exceeded their goal by achieving 37% reducing in worldwide electricity consumption. They did this by upgrading to move efficient components and by installation of solar panels, establishment of EV charging stations in company parking lots, installation of motion sensor lighting in Belkin offices and distribution centers.
