If your battery has gone flat and your cellphone will not boot up, strive utilizing a 1A(1000mA) mains charger as a substitute of the usb provide out of your pc(500mA).
I had this downside utilizing a 0.7A mains charger as its not fairly highly effective sufficient for a totally flat cellphone.

  1. LE55ONS You Sir, are a master. Please could I ask your advice? I stripped the screws whilst trying to replace the battery in my N9. I'm heart broken because I have a new battery, screen and body but I can't refurbish my device because I foolishly stripped the torx screws on the plate that holds the battery in. I have heard about using a Dremel to cut a small groove and use a flat head screw to remove the screws, but I wonder if you have an alternative? Any advice will be greatly appreciated. All the best and thank you for your very informative work.

  2. My warmest credentials goes to you! Works just fine with people who do not wear glasses! My spare casing came with all chassis, buttons and speaker installed. So I skipped unnecessary steps and got my phone back to life within couple of hours. The hardest part was to remove USB-charger cover in the beginning. It just came out with remains of old casing. This is my advice to future repairs.

  3. Thanks, a good and simple guide. Now my old N9 can get another go as my mothers phone. I just hope training her goes as simply as the battery change… (although the top clips on the screen did give me bit of trouble.)

  4. I would like to thank you for your help. Yesterday my boyfried and I (mostly him) repleaced his old phone's case and battery to new ones following this video. Your instructions are simple and clear, despite it wasn't an easy job, but the finished phone looks so good. Thanks again.
Keep up the good work! We wish You a Merry Christmas from Hungary.

  5. After disassembly, my N9 has problems with charging. After plug a charger phone shows notification "Charger may not work property" (or something like that). bmestat displays ERROR as battery type. Also phone still displays 95% battery level.
    How to fix that?

  6. problem here i replaced my battery with new one after that my n9 stopped charging i replaced back my old battery just to check but nothing battery wont charge, led blinks for a while and stops. help me

  7. From the way you did the unscrewing it all appears simple & straight forward ?

However, in my N9 i managed to unscrew only 5 (mostly on the bar side) out of the 9 screws…the remaining 4 screws simply refuse to move !!
It seems Nokia screwed some screws tighter than others although these 9 screws supposed to be the same type ?

In such a situation, how would you get these 'jammed' screws out ??

  8. Hello!
I have problem removing the metal chassis as i need to fix the button next to the volume button, the lock and unlock button, it seems that it is fixed or glued or something, is there a way for me to get that?

  9. First of all thank you so much for your lesson videos!

I have a question / comment on the screws helping to keep the battery in place (beginning around 2:30 ->).

I did unscrew 5 out of nine using T5, but found out T5 driver is spinning around w/o any good contact with the rest 4. T4 on the other hand had some contact, but still did not sit tight enough to do the trick. I stopped hopefully early enough to prevent stripping the tops off, and started digging more intel on this.

People I know say T5 is enough, they being doing this them selves before, but my experience, and some other discussion boards in internet disagree with this supporting my experience. It appears these screws are not regular torx but instead torx ip needing torx ip screwdrivers for ensured results, no?

I would like and appreciate your opinion on this, because the regular torx tools I have don’t seem to be doing the work and I am stuck w/o a phone right now 🙁 I try to avoid doing things wrong so the screws’ tops won’t strip any more at this point, and I would like to invest on the right equipment.

Btw, bought the replacement parts from the link you provided. Hope that helps your efforts also. Your helping others a lot! Thank you!

  14. @cocr3on This is because the ribbon connector on the left side is not insert properly onto the mother board. I also got the same error, but fixed it by push the ribbon on left-middle tight.

  15. i had the port in my n9 changed, now my phone does not work at all. wen i plug in the charger the charge indicator will come on for a few seconds, an it will cut off… can u tell me what may have caused this.or if there is a solution. it worked fine before i had the port changed….

  16. i just replaced battery and housing.

now if i longpress on the touchscreen there comes an annoying noise from the speaker. a noise and a high beep at the same time. if i relieve my finger from the screen it stops.

    any tips?

    thanks!

  17. The phone doesnt detect any sim. The sim is working, i've tryied it already on another phone. Other than that the phone works perfectly. Please tell what may i have done wrong!!! Please!!!

  18. Thanks for the guide, I replaced the speaker using this. I did find I stripped the head off 3 of the screws. There were 2 reasons for this: 1, they're Torx plus and I used a Torx screwdriver. 2, the gripping material round the thread had collected and didn't allow the screw to go all the way in. I kept turning and damaged the head.

After I did this I found the GPS was slow to update and lost it's lock very easily. Since replacing the screws this has changed so the antenna or another area was affected by the lack of contact between the chassis and battery cover.

  19. Hello I have seen your videos I served much the nokia n8 thank you very much, but now I have a problem with my n9
the sim card tray is stuck I can not remove the screw that I can do? and I do not want to hurt the sim reader? please help

  20. Hi, My power button stop working, so once turned off, i can never turn it back on, would that require replacing particular part 10:02 or can I just open it by myself and try to fix it or bring it to expert? what would you recommend?

  21. Amazingly well done instructional video! I just checked what is required to replace the battery before I order one. On my N9 the upper left corner of the screen is quite tight to lift but I managed not to break anything thanks to this video 🙂
